This idea can be done with various products, including stone, steel siding, metal or tile roofing or natural wood accents. The variation in textures and finishes adds dimensionality and drama. It is vital to ensure the color palettes for your new exterior complement each other. That said, there are fewer “wrong answers” than you might expect. Multiple exposures refers to using different reveal sizes of lap siding to create a unique design pattern that adds texture and depth.
